FLU PREVENTION Experts agree, the simplest, most effective way to avoid the flu and
other viruses - and keep from infecting others - is to wash your hands, and wash them often!
HAND
WASHING 101
1. Use warm water: wash yourr hands in warm running water, which will help dissolve bacteria and
elements, such as oils on your skin.
2. Add soap: apply a small amount (dime or quarter size) of liquid
soap to hands. Anti-bacterial soaps are better but not required. Remember, pre-moistened
cleansing toweletts do not effectively clean hands and should not take the place of hand washing.
3. Scrub for 20 seconds: rub hand together vigoroulsy
until a soapy lather appears and continue for at least 20 seconds (about how long it takes to sing "the ABC's).
Be sure to scrub between fingers, under fingernails, and around tops and palms of hands.
